Beach Visit

Monday afternoon we organized an outing to go hiking. At one point we thought we lost Andreas, but he was just held up by his negotiation with a Mountain Lion who wanted to eat him. Apparently Andreas promised the carnivore a few vegetarians on the return trip, but unfortunate for the big kitty, we took an alternate route along the beach.

It was wonderful and calming to be so close to the ocean and there was some great wildlife along our walk. We saw a bunch of muscles, anemones and starfish, but luckily no SHARKS.

Andreas and I haven’t seen one another in several years and it was great to catch up and reminisce about prior trips to Denmark, Norway and Sweden with his family.

Hard to believe that it was 13 years ago when we first met in Ilmenau, Germany. At that time, his daughter Johanna was 3 years old – now she’s 16 and all grown up.
