The Wee Wog had a tough night, which means that the MamaWog and the PapaWog had a tough night too. MamaWog kept watch most of the night and at about 7 am PapaWog took over, providing the Wee Wog with some nourishment and a clean diaper. Amazing how, in the midst of a changing, the Wee Wog can suddenly produce more excrement -- to such an extent that 2 diapers are commissioned rather than just one. It was a process, but a successful one.
Feeding seems to illicit hiccups (aka Schluckauf) and so the next 30 minutes were engaged with some burping and rocking in many failed attempts (and one succesful) to make the Wee Wog comfortable. As I headed to the basement to set the Wee Wog on his boppy and commence with some yoga (me, not him), I noticed his propensity to throw his head from side to side. Mind you, this isn't a refined movement, but it does appear to be an advance from the complete bobbleheadness that infants seem to have. He can't keep his head up indefinitely, but he is demonstrating some strength in the neck muscles.
Bis zum naechsten Mal,
PapaWog
